Do any of these guys make it to the Hall of Fame? You can make a case both ways for all of them.

    Julian Jackson
    Michael Moorer
    Donald Curry
    Nigel Benn
    Michalczewski
    Maske

The Class of 2019 should be an excellent opportunity for some of those already on the ballot to be inducted.

Boxers active no later than 2013 will be eligible for the first time - but are there any really outstanding fighters, who retired that year? I struggle to think of obvious candidates, that should be added to the list, and who would be certain to get in. The best I can come up with is Pongsaklek Wonjongkam and Chris John... or am I overlooking someone?

If I were to pick 3 from the old list, it would probably be Curry, Jackson and Laciar.

None of them are slam dunks, otherwise they would have been in years ago.

Who are the 1st time ballot people?

I think the next class will be a weaker one. We'll see.

For some reason Wonjongkam had a fight this year.

Looking through boxrec some higher ranking one that retired in 2013 are:
    Cory Spinks
    Joichiro Tatsuyoshi
    Rafael Marquez
    Nobuo Nashiro

Kessler, Rafael Marquez, and Chris John are the "big names" with really the only chance, that I've read.

I would vote for Jackson, Curry, and either Michaczewski or Arbachakov

McCallum should be voted in instead of Curry and Jackson because he knocked both of them out.

I think Chris John gets in for sure. As far as the fringe guys--I think Curry has the best chance but is definitely not a slam dunk.

Michaczewski has a good shot. I know he never faced Jones or Tarver but he did beat some pretty good guys over 23 defences and won a belt at Cruiser.

I like him better than Ottke for sure. Ottke arguably has three or four losses on his record. Great Amauter boxer but not a hall of Famer to me.

On merit, yes as he had a lot of title defenses at featherweight. However he has three problems.

    1 ) He's a modern featherweight.
    2 ) He was boring
3 ) I'm not sure how familiar the mostly western hall of fame voters are with him

McCallum was inducted over 10 years ago.

I was responding to another reply from someone that mentioned McCallum on this thread, but I still feel those losses to him suffered by Curry and Jackson should count against them because he was the best fighter they faced.
