    Fight booked for March 18.

Holiday's been on a well behaved Holiday whilst active with young boxers and trim throughout. Colomban's been hot/cold in meetings to deem the faucet unpredictable.

Who takes the prize?? No prize on offer.. just a figure of speach... Umm... sorry. :verysad

Although Holiday would have every trick in the book, I just think that he is probably a bit past it, having not fought for 7 years and could lose a lopsided decision against someone who is in genuine fighting condition

Phil is going to have a crack and test his strength and fitness in a fight that he is looking forward to.

Columban is fighting Junmar Dulog on Feb 27. 66kg...way too big for Junmar.

Bushy, Holidays taking no short cuts mate. He said in October that he'll test himself to the extreme. Sparring with Cruisers and SM/W's and suprised at how well he feels. Coming out of the LOOONGGG lay off, he admitted it wont be an easy journey, nor does he wish to take dud fights. Plenty of Colomban footage has been supplied to Phil, and his sparring in late Feb will be against the best possible opposition available. Take my word for it mate, he's not going to faulter in preparation.

    Holiday via TKO 6. :happy

Holiday's last fight was in 2003. He came in 7lbs overweight against Abdullaev and paid
the price for lack of fitness.
Columban has had 17 fights since 2006 against some good opposition. At 24 he has a
    15 year age advantage.
7 years of ring rust and a lack of fight fitness will be hard to overcome.

Good luck to Phillip but I fancy Columban in this one.

It does seem too close if he is fighting Holiday.

Dont doubt it for a minute that he would be the consumate professional in his training etc mate, but I just think that 7 years out of the game is a hell of a long time especially when coming up against someone who has been so active since they started, and definately no pushover

Yep, its a huge test, and hats should be taken off to him for the legitimacy of the opponent. As he says, no short cuts. At least he wont be wondering about his future chances post fight... It'll be pretty obvious with the outcome.

    Certainly wish him luck also.

Jet, believe it or not (there's been a lot of disbelieving on this forum of late.. lol), its actually said that Colomban refused to take this fight. Perhaps relative to the closeness of the Holiday bout???

Dulog is a natural lightweight. Don't know what his handlers are thinking matching him
with a fully fledged welter like Columban.
Junmar has been thrown to the lions on more than one occasion.

Believe it or not, he can make feather. But he couldn't get fights there. Yeah, he's in the deep end here but he needs $ and hasn't been able to get a fight for ages. Not saying that is right, but that's the reason here. He's very hard to match...south paw, comes to fight and despite his poor record...he's still a tough out for most.
