i am looking to get into shape for a holiday in six weeks time.i havent boxed in a while because of work:twisted: ,so as a result i have put on sum weight,my hours arent the best at work as i work to nine at nite and all the gyms near me close just after that.how does this sound as a routine just to get me in shape.

moring-run no specific time but aim to build up over the six weeks
then punch out drill on the bag

nite after work-10 rounds on the bag then a circuit with dumb bells
    bench press
    1 min skip
    sqwats
    1 min skip
have 5 or 6 different exercises with 1 min skip
    in between.
do this bout 3 times a week, mon, wed, fri any ideas what 2 do tue, thu.
how does this sound for a routine and after my holiday i will get a new job and start back at the gym nd consertrate on boxing.

it would depend on how much you are trying to lose or what you mean by "getting in shape". it takes a long time to get into shape and if you only have six weeks then dont expect to go from out of shape to in shape as far as apperance goes. you can build up alot of strenght, stamina, speed, ect. you could lose alot of weight but it woulndt be healthy at all. try to aim for 1-2 pounds per week which is healthy.

''getting in shape'' i basically mean in a vane kind of way just to loose fat and look better,i will focus more on strengh, stamina and boxing skill when i cum back and ready to go back to boxing,as for how much i want to loose i dont have a set amount because the time limit is so short any ideas to help out?

like i said six weeks is a very short amount of time. id add on things like skipping for a full 20-30 minutes. with only six weeks if you do want to lose a little weight it is better to focus on more cardio hitting exercises such as sprints, running, hitting the bag, skipping, and things of that nature. cut down on the things you eat and eat right of course. but like i said anything over 1-2 maybe 3 pounds a week could be unhealthy ecspecially if you only have a little bit of weight to lose.
you could use tuesday and thursday for extra cardio like i said with sprints and maybe shoot for a running time of five minutes if you are out of shape then keep going up by five minutes everyweek.
