There's really nothing not to like about Holm. She's conducted her press and media with professionalism through the build up. Has been respectful and responds intelligently to questions. Probably because she's "been there before" having won so many pro boxing straps. Women's mma would be so much better off with someone like her at the top of 135. Ronda is probably going to win obviously, but her behavior is pathetic. First it was the UFC blowhards saying ridiculous things like she's once in a lifetime, best female athlete ever, most dominant ever in any sport, could beat men, could beat Holm in boxing etc etc.....now its her on top of it. She tries too hard to be ***y (she's not), tries too hard to play the bully arrogant diva drama show. Just comes off as trailer trash insecurity. Like overreacting to a weigh in confrontation she initiated. I hope Holm beats her, but it's a major stretch to think it'll happen.

 

Rhonda hooked her arm and Holly's hand ended up touching Rhonda in the face. Then Rhonda plays the victim.

 

I dont understand why so many think it'd be a huge surprise if Holly won. Holly has been around MMA longer than Ronda and she fights out of a highly regarded MMA gym in New Mexico. Holly trains ALL THE TIME. She's literally never out of shape. I think Ronda is beautiful but TBH you can tell that she isnt exactly disciplined between fights. None of the UFC women bantamweights are either. Also, Holly is the most accomplished pro combat sports athlete currently in the UFC. She has the height, range and speed advantage over Ronda.
This could easliy be a frustrating night for Ronda.

 

Ronda's heavier on her feet. Holly's lighter. As a result, Ronda has the advantage if she can engage her and Holly the advantage if she can avoid engaging.

 

Yes we all know she trains at wink-jackson and has for years and years but she is still fighting a world class judoka who has demolished everyone she's fought. Holly is an underdog and rightfully so. In a boxing ring she makes Ronda look rank amateur. In a kickboxing match she starches Ronda. It's the ground portion and clinch game that is a massive unknown with Holm and it's rousey's strength.....over everyone. It would be a surprise if she grinds out a win. Not a surprise if she catches rousey early while standing.

Completely awesome. Holm answered the questions about her clinch game and was more physical than fatty, and we obviously knew she would dominante the feet. Now Rogan can say "best female combat athlete ever" and not be so ridiculously far off. 19 boxing straps and a UFC title....only fighter man or woman to do that, plus a decent kickboxing pedigree.

 

Flipping heck holm looked like an actual superstar mama fighter not just someone who uses her weight to overpower,
