I don't pay much attention to womens boxing, but last evening Comcast Sports Network replayed the Holly Holms/Mary Jo Sanders fight, and there was nothing else on, so I watched this fight. I'll say one thing FOR SURE: Those Girls come to fight!!!

Holly and Mary Jo are both good fighters that set a good example for women's boxing. I've seen Mary Jo fight live about three times. She got into boxing late, but she's accomplished a lot in a relatively short time. I'm less familiar with Holm, but she always seems to put on a good show.

Holms/Sanders was a very entertaining scrap. A much better fight than a lot of so called main events on Friday Night Fights.

From what I read, it was also more exciting than some of the HBO and Showtime main events we've had recently.

The scorecards (98-92) were a joke though.

The right fighter got the nod, but ya, those 2 score cards were preposterous!

Sucks that I can't get none of the womens boxing fights on tv.. Instead I get **** like celebrity boxing and watching **** like Todd Bridges knocking Vanilla Ice the **** out.. I've done some reading on Holly Holms about a month ago and wanted to see how she was and plus, I want to see how much intensity there is in a womens fight..

Watch some women's amateur fights some times. Those girls scrap hard; in my experience they actually work harder than most male fighters and try to fight well because they have to do more to get any respect or recognition.

Holly Holm is one of the most inteligent technicians out there, men included. People say she's successful cause she's awkward but that's not fair - Holm has great sense of timing and distance while she's on her toes and waiting for opportunities to score. This decision was a bit unfair to Mary Jo since she hit harder and was aggressive ( even her father was pleased at ringside and at the end) but Holly was consistent as always... Now she's IFBA light-middleweight champion but I wanna see her against WIBF/GBU SMW Champion Natascha Ragosina but that means that Holly must grow well to 167 from 151 and she gat to leave New Mexico.

I first heard about Holly Holms when she was due to be fighting Mia St John a couple years back, and I've been kinda quietly keeping an eye on her career since then. Seems to be a cut above the rest of her division when it comes to boxing skills, and the clinical way she outpointed Sanders pleased me.

I'm no expert (like that needs saying...) but she is a name I look out for these days.
