    That was a turning point in the heavies. Old men shuffling around in the rankings an playing musical chairs. Marciano feasted on it an called it a day after 6 defenses. An hes mentioned in the same breath as holmes? Hes overrated not underrated. Hes a great heavy but i hear people saying top 4 an 5. yeah no

    Tyson hit faster but not harder. Beating corpse lol he started boxing at 25, everyone had a huge experience gap on him. Ezzard charles was taller, had a longer reach and was heavier than marciano. What happened?

    Quality not quantity. Yeah most were older but they had a better chance at beating rocky than the tomato cans holmes feasted on.

    Louis was an old man fighting bankruptcy he wasnt there to fight marciano. Moore ok win.. an charles faded. Walcott good win. The great cockell lol. Lastarza lol.

    Holmes would be too short to fight Klitschko.

    The weight of his underpants measure around 1 st, that would be considered Crusierweight.

    louis was only 37 and on a 10 fight winning streak with K.O wins over ranked HW's before he BEGGED marciano for a fight. Marciano said NO, but louis continued to beg him.

    spinks would beat charles at heavyweight, and the spinks that holmes fought was a bigger less shopworn fighter than the charles that fought marciano

    If anything Holmes is underrated, he had an extremely good jab and has been in many memorable fights. I think hai best win is over Gerry Cooney. In his prime he was a beast and Holmes beat him in a tough fight.

    Some criticisms are having big trouble with a relatively old ken norton and earnie shavers. Both fighters were great though.
