This could've happened twice. Who would've won between these two seniors? would it matter if it was in 91 or 99? Interestingly enough, with larry's legs being gone, he may have planted himself against the ropes a bit like ali did in zaire, thats what larry did vs mercer and holyfield. Holmes would however probably be firing back from the ropes more than Ali did in Zaire, but I think Foreman would react better to an opponent using that tactic than in 74. I can see it being some kind of standoff/stalemate on the ropes or in the corner 80% of the fight with holmes firing quick(for 42 years old) combinations off the ropes and foreman trying to touch him with his jab to find an opening
First off I don't believe holmes would be getting ko'd in any of those years. He was to cagey and durable. Only tyson had the speed and power to do that against a ill prepared holmes. And I don't see foreman getting stopped either. Holyfield , morrison moorer and briggs couldn't do it so holmes won't. Holmes jabbing, holding, shooting off the ropes. Like a senior ali he'll be talking to foreman. George won't be banging away quite like Zaire but to a degree he will, he won't be able to do much differently. Holmes will be off the ropes every so often , moving around and just jabbing in to foreman. It will actually be the main pattern of the entire fight. Where's moorer was actually standing in front of George, Larry won't do that. Frustrating will be the key word for George. By the end of the tenth he'll no who's got this. And Holmes will be rolling back the years to win a unanimous Dec. Not the most interesting of fights but holmes keeps it entertaining
