I see people always saying that he guy has a lot of power. :think I'm not saying he's feather fisted. Maybe he's got above average power. The guy has not KO'd anyone including bums in a long time. His only 2 stoppages in the second half of his career are Ricardo Torres and David Diaz. Against Ricardo Torres he had all the time in world to put everything he's got into one punch and we know Torres is a kind of chinny and was already hurt by the headbutt. Then we have the David Diaz fight. He hit David with like 20 unanswered punches in a row and could not put the guy down, but Diaz's head snapped back and the ref stopped the fight. When the ref stopped it Diaz actually firedback and if I remember correctly he landed some good flush shots (happened too quick to say it was Diaz being dirty). Diaz is a tough guy though. I think his power is overrated. He's been put in with some bums and he's failed to KO any of them for a while :think. Pretty much all of his stoppages came in the first half of his career when he fought even poorer fighters. I'll take a look at the thread later I'm gonna go eat. :hey
I've never heard anyone say Holt has power. I've seen him fight in person and that's the one thing I thought he lacked.
No. Don't let the record decive you.Holt can punch. His problem is his punch volume which is **** but he can always pull a great punch and put you down-vs Bradley first round,vs Torres I round 6.
The only reason he hit Torres with the punch was because Torres hands were down because he was already KO by the headbutt.
I've heard it/read it a lot. I've seen about 7 of his fights. He can show some decent power occasionally but I feel he's overrated in that respect. Not a lot of people talk about him that's the thing, but when there is some type of discussion, his power is usually mentioned as great or very good.
Yeah, he put him down twice and that first round punch knocked him completely off his feet. Holt's power is good. Like Cubex said, his issue is his poor punch volume.
