"The Committee also ruled that claims 1) Holt was hit in the face with a can in round six and 2) Holt's leg was pulled by a member of Torres' corner in round eleven, are not supported by video. Regarding ice in the ring, the Committee ruled that fan misconduct creating a risk of injury or incident that did not in fact occur, cannot be the basis of prejudice to Holt or sustain a determination that the result was controversial within the contemplation of the WBO Rules."

"Finally, regarding Holt's contention ds that the stoppage was too early, the Committee stood by referee Geno Rodriguez. "Kendall Holt appeared to be very tired at the 11th round. He was not engaging, but was running, holding, and ducking below Torres' waist. He was knocked down by a crushing blow at approximately 58 seconds left in the round. Referee Rodriguez examined him carefully and determined that he could continue, but Kendall Holt fought the balance of the fight until the stoppage in survival mode, holding Torres, and ducking with his head down. He was not fighting or protecting himself effectively. The Referee determined that Kendall Holt was unable to continue and terminated the bout."
