Holy hell this Matthysse hype

I know it is a tradition here on ESB to overhype and jump on bandwagons on fighters who just come off a dominating win but for this case, the hype is real. With that said.

Most people just focus on Lucas' power but he actually can box.
I've been following his career closely and kept quiet for the most part as the hype of peterson were lowering the odds making Lucas afforable to bet on.

Lucas is a great boxer puncher. He is accurate and educated with his shot selection. When he doesn't see an opening, he goes for the stationary target and that is to his opponents body. His extensive amatuer background carried over to his pro game.
His gas tank is great and carries that ko punch to the late rounds, he is sturdy as when his opponents returns fire and he stood his ground. Solid defense. He showed that he can outbox a boxer and outslug a slugger.

This guy is for real and is not hype. He should still be undefeated.

and IMO would've beat the brakes off a prime pac.

Lucas is very very good! As boxing fans we want to see greatness and people that get us up of our seats. Thats what Lucas does and the sky is the limit.

No way. Lucas is a very good fighter. Pacquiao is a great fighter. Pacquiao would've put a hurtin on Matthysse.

 

The prime pac that looked good against Hatton, Clottey and Margo?

Hatton had no defense, Margo had no defense and clottey got a 7 round gas tank.

Lucas have the conditioning, the one punch ko power, a sharp right hand that is Pac's worse punch to defend. Lucas got Pac beat in almost every area except for speed. Why wouldn't i think that Lucas will knock pac the F out?

Put it this way. Unlike Alex and judah who got his their bikes are ran for dear life. Pac will be lured into a fire fight and i'm not even sure if he can avoid enough right hands as they trade for him to survive.

 

He's definitely the real deal and deserves to fight the best at 140 and 147. Not saying he walks through everybody there and he's some mega star or anything, but I want to see him in there with the best. There isn't one fight with Lucas at either weight class that isn't interesting

 

Prime Manny Pacquiao was nowhere close to 140lbs, he was 10-15lbs south, so that discussion is moot.

 

The oddsmaker punishes the public. They see everyone hyping up a so so fighter. They overprice them and take your money is that simple. So why should i speak some sense to the public before a big fight?

if the odds is high on the popular fighter, you must wait. Is that simple.
If the odds is coming in on a clear underdog EVEN BETTER. hush that ****.
The prove is in the pudding. I have over 200 dollars on lucas and 10k vcash while everyone is licking peterson's balls for some strange reason.

 

Lucas vs Pac will not happen so i don't mind talking about it. GBP + TR equals no deal. Plus Team Pac will not wanna fight this guy anyways.

 

I agree. I always knew Lucas was a big puncher it was no secret but I underrated his boxing ability the guy can really box and has good subtle defense. I don't like it when sometimes he comes in wild and off balanced with shots but he more than makes up for it with a solid overall boxing game with intelligent pressure and devastating power.
