So now Juan Diaz has a chance to win back 2/3 of his former titles, this will make it very interesting as Marquez likes to have belts.

These two guys are not going to mess around and will go for the kill.

Can't wait for this fight. :yep

You're pretty close. The WBA was not forcing a mando on us at the time, but we knew it was coming before the end of 2009. So we figured why pay the sanction fees for 2 more fights, when odds were we would be vacating the WBA anyways at some point. We also felt that they were moving Guzman up to fight Moses, and try and force the winner (likely Guzman) on us. And we have been pretty vocal that until a settlement is made for the September mess, there will be no Campbell-Guzman fight, mando or no mando. That point is moot now that Nate moved up though.

As for the WBA giving the belt back, what happened was that King wanted to market the fight as being for all 3 belts, so I told Don that was fine, as long has HE paid the WBA fees, because Nate wasnt going to pay anything. That was the end of our discussions about it, and then I heard that Cedric paid the fees to the WBA so that Funeka would get it if he won.

But this is the first time in history that someone is fighing for a VACANT Super Champion title, without holding the regular WBA title. Its a pathetic cash grab.

And like I said before, it kind of cracks me up that 10 days ago all you heard from the other top 135lb guys (and their promoter) was "Ring belt is all that matters, lineal is everything, blah, blah, blah, and then 10 minutes after Nate misses weight they have their promoters on the phone making deals with the sanctioing bodies for the vacant titles. Pretty weak if you ask me.
