Folks, I realize that the Cruiserweight division has never been very popular and is often over-looked since its coming into play back in 1979 but, in any case, the division has produced some damn good / great fights over the last 32 years... No lie.... thumbsup To my liking and voting, I rank: "Holy-Qawi 1" as my top choice with "Toney-Jirov" right next to it... Forgive me if I have spaced off another Cruiserweight title fight, but I don't normally follow that division.... Yes, I too am guilty of ignoring the 190-200 pounders... :bbb:good Anyone have anything to add or suggest fight wise here???:huh MR.BILL:hat
I thought Mormeck from France was gonna prove great, but either his chin or stamina let him falter... MR.BILL
I was at Holy-Qawi I sitting in about the fifth or sixth row. Best fight I've ever seen live without question.
I recall Murphy was a Chicago cop who came back after losing his belt to face Qawi and sounded like a loser during the pre-fight interview.... Even Dr. Ferdie Pacheco called him a loser.... MR.BILL
Regardless if it was a beating, but I loved watching Qawi beat the **** outta a drained 190 lb. Leon Stinks on ABC back in '86..... I got it on tape...... MR.BILL
I'd like to get a copy of that fight from the 1980s...... I do recall reading about this in KO mag. back then..... MR.BILL:bbb
