I like you Mr Johnny, you're an excellent poster

Yeah, that actually proves a point, Price is that terrible and that much of a let down a lot of people thought Dave Allen would beat him, DAVE ALLEN, it was almost like saying "who's going to win Barnet Or Leyton Orient".

Both are bang average, to be honest poor.

Price has had a chance after chance against good fighters and lost most of them, maybe all of them.

I think Dave Allen might be his best win.

Price has been beaten twice by old man Thompson, beaten by a fat bloke, beaten by Hammer, KTFO by Povetkin, quit on his stool against Kuzmin.

Why on earth would Povetkin fight Price again anyway and also for very little money? Because Price just said he would want big money for a rematch and that isn't a PPV fight and Eddie isn't paying them both large.

Beating Little, Ali by DQ in a fight he looked awful in and Dave Allen isn't the golden ticket, it shouldn't be a gateway to "big money".

Price should maybe have to fight a Chisora, Parker or somebody like that as the opponent, then if he gets a win go up a level in money and opportunitie, he can't be seriously thinking he has cracked it after those three wins?

But hey, good luck to him, he does take a lot of stick, he won tonight in a fight he was the underdog in and if he feels vindicated in some way then all powe to him but Hearn isn't paying him large for a fight at a level he has proven time and time again he clearly isn't at.

Would be interesting also as Price looked sharp and quick tonight and we all know Joyce is Mr slow motion. Would be another nail biter for the Price fans though.

Price - Joyce would be unreal. Is price actually signed to matchroom or is it fight by fight? Perfect fight for both.

Fight by fight. Could fight on Warrens show tomorrow if he so wished.

Big Frank might have one of his ideas. Probably sell well at the Echo an all with a few named fighters on undercard fighting puddings.

I don't like him, he is a loser, he has had opportunity after opportunity and lost, let people down and let himself down and did still gets on my TV screen.

Then he beats Little, Ali and Dave Allen and thinks he has some claim on an imaginary lorry load of money.

He is even theoretically thinking purses for a Povetkin rematch, not the opportunity to correct the result or right a wrong, it's all about cashing out, and it's just delusional.

Hopefully fights Joyce then. It’s all interesting though as Eddie and Dave said the povetkin fight was signed, so where does that leave things now? Has Eddie struck a deal to have povetkin rematch Price?

Good points, but them 3 wins are as deserving as Allen’s wins to get a Povetkin fight. I’ve always said he should fight Chisora or Hughie as I think he’d win them but him and Del Boy are mates so I doubt that’d happen. The Parker fight you mention would be interesting. But if I was Price I’d be screaming for Hughie, said it forever.

I agree with you in saying that he certainly hasn’t cracked it. He still looked a bit gun shy today against someone who for Price’s attributes should have been easy. Allen allowed him to box at that pace but he still beat what was in front of him.

David ****ing Price tries his best. Conman Allen has admitted he hasn't trained for fights and laughs about it. Allen is a complete joke. Just famous off Twitter and has no ability at all. At least Price won a medal in the AMs and a British title and Also ****ING SCHOOLED THE CONMAN ALLEN!

Quick reminder that Dave “Emmanuel Steward” Coldwell thought it would be a good idea to bulk Pricey up to 270lbs when his stamina was one of his biggest flaws.

Priceys career is a sad story and performances like tonight make it even sadder. Yes, he only beat a poor fighter in Dave Allen but he showed a wonderful shot selection and technique throughout. He showed elite technique in fact with some really beautiful shots thrown. I think it's fair to say that if Price had a solid chin, good stamina and heart he would've won a world title.

Sadly, he has none of the three things I've mentioned. Allen was so bad tonight he couldn't make Pricey work. The fight was fought at such a slow pace on the outside, Pricey was able to cruise. He didn't lose all his energy being nervous because after a few rounds he realised Allen was awful and he was able to relax and keep his energy.

Tonight proved several things that we already knew - Allen is poor and shouldn't be fighting anyone with a decent boxing pedigree. Pricey could've been a great fighter but lacks a chin, stamina and heart - those frailties remain, Allen was just too poor to expose them. Hearn is a scumbag for wanting to pair Allen up with Povetkin. He's seriously messing with guys health for a few quid.

Finally, don't for one second believe Price has discovered his stamina. As soon as a decent fighter puts pressure on him he will unravel once again. It's sad but it's true and I'd like to see him retire on a high like tonight before the inevitable KO defeat. He's 36, what's he going to achieve?

Very pleased for Big Dave tonight but Allen simply the biggest pudding in Boxthing - was trying to imagine Price in with Whyte, Chisora or Rivas and all I can see is a Povetkin type KO.

Price could be a useful gatekeeper. Price vs Bakole. There's a fight to make.

Dave Allen has first dibs at Gatekeeper now but don't think he will last long in the role.

Great win for Pricey but if he steps up again he loses again.

Chisora, Joyce and Bakole all stop him.

You can see the same defensive frailties are still there and Good fighters will expose him
