Holy S***, Ward goes in beast mode with British reporter...

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Sweet-D-Willy, May 25, 2013.

  1. Ward needs to go fight Froch in the UK. If he doesn't there are 2 MONEY fights for Froch with a Kessler 3 ( people will buy that after last night ) and ofcourse Groves who will generate money cos they are both British.
Ward is #1 belt or not, but if he thinks Froch has to go to the US to fight at 36+ he is seriously dumb. The Money at this weight is in Froch's corner whatever way you look at it...simples

He was serious, he would go down to 160 without if Floyd was willing to do that. He knew Mayweather would never do that, but if Mayweather wanted it Ward would jump at the chance in a heartbeat. Ward is desperate for a payday, don't try to hide it. Your legacy doesn't pay the bills, I doubt Joe Louis gave a **** about his legacy when he was broke and had a huge debt.

Ward does need the fight, do you actually think boxers take fights based on how good a boxer is? They take fights based on which fight brings the most money. Deal with it.

"If you're serious about it, pick up the phone and lets talk about it"- Andre Ward

Froch is the best Ward can fight. Ward is the best but Froch has the better resume

    Needs the fight?

    How does he "NEED" it.

What does beating Froch again do for his legacy?
Andre Ward could retire right now and become a friggin commentator, and have enough money and have his legacy as the best SMW in the post Calzaghe years enshrined.

All this "need" nonsense is rubbish.

Why are people suddenly so worried about fighters finances?

What happened to just wanting to see the best fights?

I personally dont care how much the fighters make, nor so most real fans

if they fight again, Ward MUST go to the UK and fight Froch, like a man would. Too many of these USA fighters like gayweather and ward, while immensely talented have NEVER stepped out of their comfort zone. NOT great champions. Far from it actually.

GTFO with this bull****. Johnson didn't have any choice. If he didn't travel, he wasn't going to get paid.

Like any of these guys leave their comfort zone just for the **** of it. It's called "prize" fighting for a reason.

If you want to get like that, then we also got Cleverly and Ricky Burns who are belt holders. Who the hell cares about Mikey Garcia? and Broner hasn't dpne anything yet.

    Belt holders.

No one ranked Rochy Burns at No.1 at LW, certainly not if Broner is still fighting there.

No one ranks Cleverly as No.1 at LHW either.

The **** is this nonsense? Ward's comfort zone is in Oakland. He has zero fan support in Jersey, and Froch is the one who got favorable treatment by the judges.

I think that Ward needs to go the UK if he wants to get paid, but the notion that guys who don't travel aren't real champions is BS.

And what the **** are you talking about Mayweather for? He gets booed during his fights at "home" all the ****ing time. He fights where the money is.

Actually, real fans know that money is what makes fights happen. A reason Pacquiao-Mayweather didn't happen is because of issues over the fighter's purses. No fighter with a good management team is going to make their cash cow fight an unknown boxer who is very skilled, it just doesn't work that way.

Money is what drives boxers to even fight in the first place. This whole sport wouldn't exist if no one got paid. Deal with it!

:lol::lol: Ya, belt holders in a division they're not number 1 on.. Why won't Ricky Burns fight that Japanese guy in Japan when the Jap is the bigger drawer? :think Who the **** cares about Ricky Burns or Clev? Who actually wants to see them fight besides the Brits? I'm greatly anticipating the Garcia vs. Lopez fight, while I couldn't tell you who Burns or Clev are fighting next.

We've already seen them fight once.

Ward won convincingly with a broken hand.

What do you think happens in the second fight?
