I don't think you really want to "go like that" otherwise Dirty Dan might bring up beltholders like Ishe Smith, Paulie Malignaggi, Mike Alvarado and others you might not care about.

Clealry Ward doesnt seem to care as much about his finances as you do.

Real boxing fans want to see the best fights.

They dont give a **** what the fighters are paid.

Why exactly do you want to see Froch-Ward 2?

Because you want to see them get paid well?

Is that why you watch boxing? So you can see which fighters make the most money? So you can scour PPV numbers?

    If so, good for you.

Ill just stick to watching for the love of the sport.

Ward doesnt need Froch for legacy.

I dont care whether he makes 1 or 2 million for a fight either.

They seriously think that Ward is going to get frightened by the obnoxious cockneys in the audience and give his chin for Froch.

If they do fight in the UK, the crowd's going to be out of it by the third round.

Well Mikey Garcia and Broner, what exactly have they achieved? They have't beaten great fighters yet so how did they make that list??

Now you're putting words in my mouth. I without a doubt want to see the best fights made and thats why I watch boxing. However, I realize that certain fights aren't made and certain fights are made due to financial interests. I realize money is a big part of boxing so I think about the financial aspect of the negotiations for a fight when a match-up is proposed.

Boxing fans care about legacy. The boxers themselves care about paydays and legacy, but care about paydays more.

What's the point if they are still just belt holders? :patsch

If he comes and brings up 5 or 6 other elite fighters then that's something.

Ward will be even better in a rematch. Late TKO.
Good win for Froch tonight, great chin and all but exciting or not-Ward is the better fighter.

If that was the case, and if everyone here is telling the truth, wouldnt Ward be on the first Flight to England to beat Froch for easy money?

    1. Froch doesnt seem too keen on the fight. Probably because he doesnt wnat to get beaten in front of his home fans

    2. Ward could probably make just as much money fighting Chavez in Texas or Vegas.

Also if Froch came and fought in America, they'd both get paid well too. Froch would bring his travelling army of supporters. HBO would get on board etc.

The difference in purse would probably be minimal.

Well better or not, different ball game when you are on the road. Some fighters totally leave their balls at home and crumble when on foreign soil. Ward has never faced it, so you have no idea how he would handle it.

Didn't look too comfortable tonight and all he was doing was giving an interview. Occasion seemed to get to him. How would he cope when he's actually in the ring, in a hostile environment?

wow so you are comparing the amateurs to the pro game? I hardly think the occasion would be in any way comparable to fighting in a big venue with the crowd against you.

No head guard or tap tap scoring system. Just a guy intent on taking your head off. Different ball game. You lose your nerve in a fight like that, against an opponent like Froch, you are in for a world of hurt.
