Sell out arenas and make how much? Froch needs big names to generate big money too. Please stop acting like he's Mayweather or something

Did I say he was Mayweather? OK then.

There are big names around for him to fight, Hopkins, Dawson, Groves... all fights that would sell out the 02 arena.

No problem for Froch making big money, he also has the belts. :smoke

Selling out arenas and making big money are two different things. His biggest payday is how much exactly? Do you even know or are you throwing those terms around without a drop of knowledge?

    People still care about belts?

What belt did Marquez and Pacquiao fight for in their last fight?

Well, let's be real - he's not earning 'big money' at the moment so it's not going to have to be the kind of money they offered Kessler to get him over here.

Froch packed out Nottingham arena fighting Yusaf Mack. He's a fighter riding a wave of popularity over here right now with a reputation for value for money exciting fights - his next fight will pack out an arena regardless of who it's against. That's just the way it is.

A fight against Groves, Cleverly or even Degale would be massive over here and bigger than a Ward fight, so that'll explain why he won't feel the desperate need to go back to the US. Meanwhile, the biggest money for Ward is going to be Froch in England.

Groves or Cleverly would be biggers fights than Ward over here

Let's talk #'s here. How much was Froch paid in his career-high purse against Kessler?

    A 50-50 split of £4m equals $3.000.000 for Froch.

If that's what they split. I've seen reports varying between 2-3mil. For the sake of argument however, in his biggest payday against a big name opponent, he makes 1mil more than Ward. And this is the "big money" you're referring to? Please. It's exacty why Ward is telling them he'll go to the UK only if they make it worth his while. Ward earns close to 1.5mil regardless of who he fights with a purse guaranteed by HBO. So if Froc has to find a huge name and go to hell and high water to fill out arenas just to make one mil more than Ward then he can continue to enjoy the remaining few fights he has, knowing Ward will forever hold a one-sides ass kicking over him.

I have. And the "big money" you people speak of is laughable. Especially considering that he needed a big name opponent to accomplish it.

Please link your reports saying 2-3 mill.

I've read between £4-5m.. (I've linked both reports, mind you) which means, Froch made at least $3.000.000.

Nearly 3 times as much as Ward made for Dawson, and in front of a packed 18.000 crowd. Ward - Dawson was in front of some 8500 fans.

    Get real bro.

    First link that popped up.

You think making 2-3mil against a big name opponent is "big money?" Meanwhile Ward is making 1.5 to fight a fellow no-name. And already holds an ass-kicking over Froch. Who needs to get real?
