So this t-rex short arm looking knucklehead is fighting a guy coming off a knockout lost from Abner Mares and got KTFO in the 1st round by Wideman looping Juanma Lopez and you call PDL having a pulse???

Have you seen who hes fought??? Ponce is 10x better then anybody Russell Jr has fought, this is a huge step.

Ponce was beating Mares IMO so u acting like he got dominated in his last fight. he lost but was looking good in there

****, his opposition is crazy weak. I know he's still considered a prospect, but most people rank him top 10 at FW and favor him H2H over everyone in the division. So is he still really a prospect or just a highly skilled fighter who has done absolutely nothing in his career relative to his reputation?

 

Ponce is a championship caliber fighter and it's a good fight for Russell. As far a skills go, he has the skills, he just needs to be tested at those levels to understand what it takes to be a real champion. In short, he has the skills but not the mindset.

It is the skills. He looks great against poor competition (for the "world" level). So we really don't know how good those skills are.
