I hope Ward does't get hurt too much! I still want to see him against GGG. The fight should have been made back in 2012 .. and 2013, 2014 ..

I'm quite surprised that Kovalev would spar Usyk, firstly because Usyk is quite a lot bigger, secondly because he is a southpaw, and third because imo Usyk is a good deal more aggressive than Ward.

I don't get it, Usyk fights nothing like Ward.

yeah but he's pretty slick at times his movement is great and he has a high ring IQ like Ward.

Quite amazing to have a sparring partner that on paper at least should be better as yourself and your actual opponent.

Absolutely true, but there the similarities end. I guess maybe it is preparation for Ward going southpaw.

Yep lol, I honestly think that Usyk beats anyone who's not a HW as well as most HWs.

This either goes two ways for me, this either brings out the best in Kovalev and he comes in to this Ward fight absolutely razor sharp and full of fire

Or Usyk batters the snot out of him and his confidence and body are destroyed.

I hope it's the first suggestion.

I hope so too. I really rate Kovalev, but the fact is that he will be doing very well to hold his own against a destroyer like Usyk.

Well, Kovalev must be feeling very confident now at least!

That's the two sides of the coin I see, too.

I would be surprised if Usyk made it his mission to wreck Kovalev's confidence since there's really no prestige in it for him to school a smaller fighter instead of helping him prepare, but stranger things have happened.

Ok who cares? Manny had Rigo as a sparring partner, didn't stop him from getting washed in the fight.

Usyk has very good movement, good choice to spar him even though Ward is orthodox and styles differ. One thing they have in common is ring movement.
