They should form a new boxing body!

    SCBO

Senior Citizen Boxing Organization:lol: :yikes :good :patsch :hammertime

    New Rules:
    1) one min and 30 seconds per round for 6 rounds.
    2) the cardiologist has the right to stop the fight
3)referre can call his own time out if he's exhausted.

We don't want anybody lose the fight due to HEART ATTACK do you?!

Are you trying to say that Wlad is ducking Valuev? That would be absurd.

Evander Holyfield: “People are always asking me, ‘Why are you keeping this going? Are you doing this for the money?’ ” he said. “It’s kind of odd. I had this as a goal even before I had any money problems and situations. You get tired of explaining to somebody that you’re not doing this for the money. It may look like it now, but it’s not the case.”
The Valuev bout is being held in Switzerland due to a general lack of interest by sites in the U.S. Organizers hope the bout will be on pay-per-view, but Holyfield said, “I don’t think it will be. It’s sort of like this is going to happen in secret. That’s too bad because it’s going to be a great story. It’s going to be a shocker.”

LOL, for some reason I actually think Holyfield has a better chance against Valuev then Holyfield did against Sultan.

There's nothing odd about that reasoning.....

......I would'nt make Holyfield the favorite, but if you do look at Holyfield's losses since the Ruiz trilogy, his 4 losses have all come against slick boxers.
Slick boxers who are always a nightmare against old fighters.
The boxers being Byrd, Toney, Donald and Sultan.

In Valuev, you Evander not only has a big target, but a stationary and slow one at that.

Getting by Valuev's jab at Evander's age is not going to be easy. But he certainly has a better chance at doing that than chasing and trying to find a slicker faster fighter around the ring!

Of course I wish Evander would just retire, but as long as he's fighting, Goooooooooooooo Holy!!!!!!!

I think that stylewise Valuev suits him more than he WBO champ Ibrahimovitch.

Valuev stands right in front of you, does not move his feet or head.
I am confident Holyfield will have a decent showing, although he is really not busy enough to upset the guy.

But maybe that will become a little bit more active if he has a stationary opponent. Won't be enough to win though.

Y'know...fights like this make it really hard for me to love the sport.

It's not even about Holyfield's chances of winning, it's the fact it would be even happening in the first place that I hate. I'm just really disgusted about this one.

Holyfield does not deserve any title shot, Valuev should not be fighting someone like Holyfield, and the whole thing just stinks of exploiting an old fighter for money and hollow prestige. Even if Holyfield wins, and Valuev is no awesome warrior after all, all it means is worse beatings in his future.

Well, Holyfield is an ATG, so IMO he deserves one last chance.
Valuev is stationary, that style will suit Holy.

Ali had Parkinson. Thus that comparison doesn't count.

Holy shot for 10 years? My god how disrespectful box fans are.

Holy is NOT SHOT. Of course he is maybe 50% of what he was at his top but this is still far from shot. Is everyone who loses against Vitali or Valuev shot? Give me a break.

Moreover 40 is the new 30, especially with the nice Hormone treatment that Evan Fields got.
