Holyfield Against These,In Their Primes?

I could see Holyfield outpointing Foreman if he fights a smart fight in an out movement using combinations. If Holyfield gets past the 6th round the fight should be his with his superior conditioning in the 2nd half of the fight. Holyfield is also one of the few fighters who has enough heart and durability to weather Foreman’s early onslaught.

Holmes outpoints Holyfield behind the jab similar to how Lewis did.

A bulked up Holyfield in the 2nd Bowe fight ? I could see Holyfield beating Tyson.

All in all Holyfield could go 2-1 or 1-2 depending on the night but I know for sure he wouldn't go 3-0.

I like Mike .. Tyson only redlined for two years but from 86 - 88 he was an absolute beast.

 

Holy loses to Foreman by KO and to Holmes by UD. Tyson? That 88 version isn't the one Evander fought and stopped. Close fight.
At best Evander goes 1-2.... 0-3 would not surprise me

 

1. Gets Ko'd in round three
2: Loses a competitive but clear cut UD
3: This is the toughest call for me. I'll say Tyson buzzes him early like Bert Cooper did and finishes the job. Or if not, Tyson loses a UD, looking worse and worse in the later rounds.

I’m skeptical about 70s Foreman beating him. Sure it’s easy to say “ well if 90s foreman took him the distance then…..”. But it’s not that simple. 70s foreman had poor defense, low stamina and not quite as much mental fortitude. He was way too used to guys dropping like flies for him. Evander Holy had an iron chin, good skills, stamina, heart and decent power. And at 6’2, 210 lbs wasn’t much smaller than foreman who in 1973 was 6’3” and around 220.

Could go 3-0, could go 0-3. My guess would be he outlasts Foreman, gets stopped by Tyson, and loses a decision to Holmes.

 

Holyfield loses to Holmes and Tyson. His you hit me and I hit you style is also all wrong against 1970s Foreman. So I guess he goes 0-3.

I think he always had Tyson's number but 80s Tyson is better but so was 80s Holyfield. 80s Holyfield had far better stamina than he did by 1996. He was throwing upto 90 punches a round in some fights IIRC

Holmes probably should outbox him but Holyfield is better than Norton and that was close.

Foreman is hard to say, but I don't think Holyfield stays down. Holyfield can box or pressure in that fight. Holyfield is more technically sound and has the better stamina. Lean towards Holyfield
