Yeah, I seen this before. Good little sparing scrap. Prime Holy takes a prime Tua all day, everyday. He just had =the Skills, Heart, and Beard to out work and out point Tua
Holyfield had a tendency to just start brawling it out... If he would do the same agains Tua... he wouldn't win, he would get KO'd. If he can stay concentrated Tua loses by an UD. Golota has also sparred with Tua, but Golota got angry he couldn't hurt Tua so he started low blowing, and Tua low blowed him back so they had to stop it.
It was. I saw a Tua piece once where Holyfield said Tua was brought in to serve as a stand-in for Mike's style. Reportedly, Tua knocked Holyfield out once (or something like that) during these sparring sessions. Given that and that both were with Main Events, it's not surprising they never fought in the pros.
"Or something like that." Thats just a dumb thing to say with absolutely nothing to back it up with. I followed the Holyfield era intensely, and you're the first I've heard that Tua knocked Holyfield out. You say that enough times around here and some bozos will start to believe it. "Knock Holyfield out!" Yeah right, with headgear and those huge pillow on Holyfield is going to get knocked out! Why post what you have no clue of?
Generally, it's probably fair to assume Holyfield outboxed Tua. If he ever got dumb enough to trade with him though, it's probable Tua put his lights out at least once. Tua is among the hardest punchers in the history of the division.
Holy was nearing the end of the training camp and as far as I know, Tua wasn't training for a fight at that time. Its like Spadafora dominating FLoyd in his camp.
Tya supposedly whooped his ass and that was a big reason why everyone though Tyson would blow through Holyfield(not including his last 2 fights). I think if they both fought at this time Tua would have had a good shot at beat Evander. Better then Tyson did IMO.
