Holyfield-Botha is OFF!!!!! :-(

Many Ugandans were looking foreward to this fight happening. It's a shame it won't. It would have been good to have a former world campion fighting in a country like Uganda.

 

Holyfield-Botha being called off is hardly the same as Mayweather-Pac not being made!

Holyfield pulls out because of MONEY? He has better opportunities?

Staging a fight in the middle of Africa for an ancient Holyfield and well past it Botha just doesn't make sense. Who's gonna go to Uganda to see this? Anyone? They have no food there and the population lives on $2 a day, how (and why) are they going to pay the gate to see 2 dinosaurs bob around for a few rounds?

I'd hardly call this fight being called off a black eye for boxing. The fight in the first place was a black eye for boxing.

 

I was in college & looked at Holyfields Boxrec and saw the fight was not listed, thought it was a bit odd. 15 minutes later I see the news on the scene :yikes

I must be some kind of Boxrec voodoo physic :rasta

 

No great surprise.Promoter had NO money,as usual when putting on fights in 3rd world countries.
