i want to see holyfield retire.

holyfield is clearly delusional about his continued beleif that he will be a unified champ again, he is hurting his legacy and his continued fighting is what is bad about boxing.

briggs has nothing legacy or history wise , so i am not worried about him.

You know, you can't really say Holyfield is delusional when he was robbed against Valuev. Technically, Holyfield, at age 47, SHOULD be in possesion of one of the alphabet straps (WBA if im not mistaken).

 

i thought he beat valuev as well, but to be a unified champ now he is going to have to go through vitali/wlad and haye.

these 3 v the current version of holy, hurt and destroy him IMO and his toughness will mean it will be a prolonged and brutal beatdown.

You are correct. And it's ashame, too. Because a prime Holyfield would have DESTROYED Haye and beat both of the Klits.

Briggs' punch output is 5 punches per round. He could very well hurt Holyfield but he is too old and fat to inflict a beatdown. Listen to Holyfield talking, the man has taken too many shots already. Holyfield is too brave and stupid for his own good.

Briggs may be 38 but he did come in at a lower weight in his last fight showing he may actually be more dedicated then before. 263lbs for a fight with a bum is suprsing, if he could come in around 250-255lbs I think he could still beat any of the current belt holders, not saying he would but he could possibly win. Oh and Holyfield wouldn`t last 2 rounds against Briggs.
