The TITLE should be changed to "Holyfield is fearless but Floyd is not"

Wins and loses is all the history books really focus on. if it was 24-0 in fights, I'd understand your statement, but he said 24-0 in World Title fights, 12-0 against Champions who held the lineal title. Also 7 current or future HOF fighters. The resume in years to come will look damn near untouchable. History doesn't really care nowadays that ODLH beat an old broken down JCC, SRL forced his rematch against Duran when he knew he wasn't gonna be in prime shape. Only that they fought and beat them.

It's a shame that a fighter who thinks he was TBE didn't believe that enough to face his opponents when it mattered or at weights where it mattered.

Isn't it a funny coincidence that the other fighters who retired undefeated, Calzaghe and Ottke both were also accused of not facing the best opposition as well. It's easier to retire undefeated when you haven't had to always fight the biggest threats.

Do not know where the hell, you would rank Floyd. I think anywhere from Top 25 ATG - Top ATG 45 is reasonable.

 

Your criticism is ill advised. Holyfied has one of the strongest resume in boxing history.

I have been following since 25 years and in my honest opinion I have never seen a fighter taking on such strong competition as Holyfield.
