Why? Please elaborate. Holmes took the hardest shot on film ( Shavers, who many consider the best puncher ever ) , was only stopped once at age 38 by the best version if Mike Tyson, who would destroy Ali or Holy at 38.

I've seen Ali hurt more times and by lesser punchers. Same for Holy.

I saw Ali taking far more Shavers' punches and never going down, so it's very debatable.

Ali lost at least 7 rounds vs Shavers, while Holmes lost maybe 2 rounds in total in their 2 bouts. Shavers landed far more often on Ali's chin

Ali was dropped by Banks, while Holmes was dropped by Isaac.

Ali was knocked down 3 times in his career (Wepner bulls't bodypunch KD doesn't count, like Holmes vs Butterbean).

Holmes was knocked down 6 times.

Holmes took the single harder shot from Shavers.

Ali was hurt more vs Cooper than Holmes was in any of his fights, save Tyson. Three of those knock downs on Holmes came against Tyson when he was 38.

How many times would Ali at age 38 years old out of the ring for a while go down vs the same Tyson?
