It wouldn't surprise me. The Ring had an article about his fight with Sultan and it was at least hinting of financial problems. He's made a ridiculous amount of money but has extremely high expenses. His mansion is beautiful and huge, enough to house his 452 children.

He is also being sued by a Utah consulting company for failing to repay a $550,000 loan. Holyfield referred all questions to his attorney, Fred Gardner, who could not be reached for comment. Kessler said his client also wants assurances that Holyfield has maintained a trust fund for Evan. Holyfield has been trying to secure another heavyweight championship, last fighting on Oct. 13, 2007. He was defeated by Sultan Ibragimov, though he made it to the 12th round, and said he plans to fight again. It's not known how much money Holyfield accrued over the years. though he received $34 million to fight Mike Tyson in the infamous ear-biting bout in 1997. In his book, "Becoming Holyfield: A Fighter's Journey," the ex-champ wrote, "I'd made over $90 million in the short time [of the marriage to Janice] and, as things too often do, it came down to money because we didn't have a prenuptial agreement."
It is shocking that someone who has earned as much as Evander during his career, can be facing financial difficulties. He only has himself to blame for failing to grasp what little 'financial prudence' is necessary for a multi-millionaire.
Him and Tyson should move in together. They can run a bead and breakfast and Holyfield can read bible passages to everyone while Tyson just looks on with a creepy smile. Place would would be booked up for years!!!
