What an undisciplined fool! The Christian faith teaches, among other things, the virtues of self control and modesty. He could have resisted the temptations he was no doubt beset by and been CONTENT with what he had, which was material riches beyond the reach of most of us mortals. To be able to walk away when on top is one sign of wisdom, but to be able to see that your best days are behind you and to retire to your 720 room mansion and if anything, think about improving the mind and devoting yourself to new pursuits which had nothing to do with bygone ring glories was something that never seemed to enter Evander's mind.

 

This seems strange cause after reading his book, he took great pride in keeping his finances in order, then again, he probably didnt account for the numerous divorce settlements that not doubt greatly affected his finances. They money these sports stars have to shell out to ex wifes now is ridiculous.

I swear I read a quote where Holyfield said he doesn't practice safe sex because it's against his religion.

This isn't "the system's" fault. When Evander first spit up unprotected, one should imagine he'd have then thought to himself "oh, wait a minute; bad plan. Gotta rethink this," but oh no.........not him. He did it EIGHT MORE TIMES. That's the system's fault?

Like the system or not, that's what it is, and any goddamn knucklehead should know the toll it takes on him to make this mistake even once. This "poor victim" had his sympathy card run out for most people after the first kid.

Sad, sad story. Not only is as Holyfield broke like Tyson, but he hasn't had half the wild that Tyson has had. If you're going to be a broke ex-world champion, you better at least waste your money on some fun stuff, like tigers, geisha-girls, seedy massages, strip-clubs and Mao Zedong pics carved into your arm.

Tyson has lived life to the fullest and he has the stupid tattoo over his face to prove it. What's Holyfield spent his money on? A big mansion? His trophy cabinets? Pictures of himself for his personal hall of fame? His Christian mission to father more illegitimate children than were in communist Romania?

If a boxer isn't going to be a shrewd and intelligent businessman like Lewis, he should at least enjoy his hilarious stupidity to the fullest, like Tyson.
