Every boxer has a dirty tactic. Tyson elbows. Hopkins everything. Floyd leans too low and pushes with his elbows. Ali held the back of necks. George foreman would punch too hard.
+1. I always thought the butts occurred due to styles more than them being intentional. Same goes for Tim Bradley. Now Hopkins and Casamayor I think do it intentional.
Lou Duva in the Lennox Lewis book, Mamas boy admits that Holyfield has always been a dirty fighter, people here should watch Holyfield Toney. From about round 2 onwards Holyfield was charging in with the head. He was constantly getting warned but he keeped doing it with the intention to butt Toney. On the flip side Hopkins is almost as bad with his right hand, lead headbut combination.
Arthur Abraham might do the trick for you, I can already see it happening... Ward rushes forward head first and Arthur catches him full with a right elbow coming in... Ward complaining dazed to the ref, while the crowd cheers :happy
Guys who tend to leap in are always bad for head clashes, Holyfield deffo got away with more than he should though but thats the benefit of wrapping yourself in the bible and the stars and stripes , gets you a bit of slack with the refs !
Golota just ****ing hammers the opponent with his head not paying attention if someone notices... He's quoted saying that he banged Nicholson like that because he just didn't want to fall down... Obviously that was the case in the second fight with Bowe. He ridiculously hammered him with his gloves in the 2nd round but it didn't work so....
Well Arthur has certainly already proved he is unlikey to get upset with a little cut from a headbutt. You'd have run that mother****er over with a truck to wipe the smile off his face.
I know what you mean. There are moments where Evander is clearly not even trying to throw a punch but trying hard as hell to land that head.
