Well, Lewis KOed him in 95 seconds, Brewster KOed him in 52 seconds. Ray Austin floored him 2 seconds after the beginning of round one and even feather-fisted former LHW Adamek knocked him down in round 1 and stopped in round 5. OK, he was shot against Austin and Adamek, but if you have a great/good chin you won't be easy to stop/drop even in older age. George Foreman fought until 49 y.o. and never was dropped in his 40s. Larry Holmes never was dropped in his 40s and 50s (slip against Butterbean shouldn't be counted as knockdown).
I'm not sure about that, AJ took a huge right hand from Klitschko and got up. Evander doesn't carry the power Klitschko does. Who's the best fighter Evander stopped? A mentally beaten, ex-con, 6 years past his best Tyson?
Small punchers chance, Golota wasn't that big a puncher for a man his size, he had some pop in his shots but he was far from the kind of puncher Wlad was who couldn't finish AJ off with 1 shot. Let's be honest Golota was a mental midget, I loved the guy, am a big fan of his but when the pressure was on he always mentally folded. He'd take one look at the imposing figure of Joshua and would be beaten right there and then and look for a way out as soon as things got tough. Maybe Golota when a bit older wouldn't of mentally folded as he did better later on but by then his shoulder was buggered and his once vaunted jab was a long lost memory. Either way I can't favour Golota over Joshua.
No, that sneaky snake Eddie Hearn knowing Douglas' weakness will send him a daily gift basket of tasty treats while in training camp, Douglas will show up weighing 400lbs and Joshua will stop him inside 3 rounds.
He'd prob punch Terry O'Connor square in the nuts upon entering the ring which tbf I'd consider ppv worthy.
No it was the 88 Olympics where he won Bronze at heavyweight, the same year Mercer won gold at heavyweight and Lewis won gold at Super Heavyweight. Golota turned pro in 92 as in the interim he had been trying to make a career as a truck driver in the US. Bit of a coincidence that Wilder was also a former Olympic heavyweight bronze medalist that started off as a truck driver and then turned pro, just like Golota. Wonder if Wilder like Golota will get KO'ed in 1 round when facing a Brit heavyweight champion, would be bizarre if that happened, though not totally unexpected.
Agree with all...Golota might have been green though....also..I'd probably add a few more. Lennox Lewis Ray Mercer I'd give both Razor Ruddock and Tommy Morrison a chance. Fast forward a few years...you can toss in Tua….Ibeabuchi...and we're just talkin guys who stop him.
