then why would ggg ask for a catchweight for ward when he clearly said he was fine with 168 for other guys? because hes afraid of losing to ward.....yet the majority of his fans here seem to think ggg was well within reason to ask for a cw because of his aside status

maybe you didnt ....but 90 percent of gggs fanbase on here said it....thats a majority.....dont act like you didnt read it......so now you know why i say what i say....

Dude, here is what you don't understand:

If you keep repeating the same **** over and over and over again, people will keep bringing up all the names that avoided Golovkin. And you can make a case for him avoiding Ward, but that's it. A light heavyweight. The guy who fought @178 when GGG was fighting @165.

And like I said, one fighter wanted the fight when he needed it more, the other didn't feel like it. The other wanted the fight when he needed it more, GGG didn't feel like it. And if you're asking my opinion, I'd want him to take the risky fight instead of chasing to become a ppv star. But can't blame him for not doing so.

Golovkin is one of the top fighters of this era, right next to Gonzalez, Kovalev and Ward. You better stop killing yourself about it, for your own sake.

 

why do people still insist on bringing up wards period of inactivity? like it means anything?

wards career cut off, right after dawson, is better than gggs....easily

so who cares if ward has been out of the mix for awhile? do you think this makes him rusty and not a top level fighter? if so then it should have been easy pickings for ggg and he should have jumped at the chance to dispatch him right?

but no it cant be that....so what does it matter? people that knew of ward didnt just forget who he is.....the boxing world didnt just suddenly forget ward was alive(despite your corny attempts at jokes)....hes still young enough and close enough to his physical peak

while im in no way comparing ward to floyd....if floyd took 2 years off in 2010 would he have ceased to become a top level opponent for anyone?

 

What the majority of GGG fans said is not my problem It was wrong for him to demand the catchweight, he should've just said "I have good opportunities @160, I'm not ready to move up yet." Just like Inoue did when he was asked about Gonzalez. It wasn't a duck, he was just being honest.

 

sure you cant blame ggg for not wanting to fight ward....but you can keep bringing it up do his dumb fans who used to cry bloody murder when other fighters would make business decisions

Avoiding your mandatory or refusing a unification bout and refusing a fight at a higher weight class are completely different things. Fighers have every right to stay at their own weight divisions, no matter what they said years ago.

 

sure...ggg can stay at 160....and he can beat heiland...johnson...he can beat andy lee and whatever.....and at the end of the day it will do nothing for him.....hell make a few bucks....his superfans will continue to suckle his tiny cubes.....but it wont raise his standing .....real boxing fans will always wonder what if...what could have been...how great he could have been

thats what his fans dont realize...they always reference b hop and his mw reign...and say "well what about b hop he stayed and cleaned out a relatively weak division"

somehow i think they equate that feat to bhops greatness and status...its what bhop did after that that elevated him.....ggg will never go that high or far....and the sad part is....he might be capable of it.....but these guys are fine with him staying put

 

Time will tell. And I wouldn't bet on B-Hop moving up to LHW if he were still comfortable @160.

i pointed out that he went from 160 right to 175...and had to hire a special consulatant to help him gain weight right.....

point was....ggg beating this crop of mws does nothing...but line his pockets with some easy money....which is weird because alot of fighters got knocked for doing things like that...why does ggg get praise from so many?
