This is true, Honestly both in their prime is a pick em fight, nobody can really say for sure who would win, the fighters of the 70's through the late 90's elevated the sport so much that it wouldnt shock me to see Holyfield beat Louis.

Although from different eras, Evander is Joe Louis's peer because of the small fraternity of legendary heavyweight champions that they belong to.
I think this statement is Evander's way of indirectly lashing out at certain people, preferably media types. With the reverence the media gives to fighters like Louis and Marciano, I think Holyfield might be trying to show a bit of defiance towards them, perhaps because of their constant pleading for him to retire and their pokes at his age.

I love seeing the jackasses on this site with the steroid allegations and all that ****. I know we have freedom of speech but that's damn near slander as far as I'm concerned. Alot of you don't like Holyfield. Ok that's fine but why go around with the steroid allegations when nothing has ever been proven? Go ahead and criticize him for his losses or sticking around too long but lay off the BS. How about some actual boxing conversation about upcoming matchups rather than finding more reasons to pick on an aging warrior who is quickly becoming a victim of his own making. I don't think a guy like Evander Holyfield deserves it. How about tonguing Pacman's balls like you all do so well or talking about how Kessler is ducking everyone? You guys are experts at that kind of talk.

People are always going to discredit Holyfield for anything they can, Holyfields biggest mistake was that he not only beat Mike Tyson not only that he Stopped Mike Tyson but that he beat Mike Tyson at Mikes own game so much So mike had no other choice but to bite Evander in the rematch only to further prove Holyfields dominance over Mr Tyson.

alot of the hate comes from Tyson fans, they are still bitter 12 years later its funny to me becuase Mike has gone on to lose and quit against lesser fighters since. so to make any sense of why Evander beat Mike it had to be the steriods right? whats funny is the man who makes these statements about the roids never does so when it comes to Toney or to Roy Jones, and that most defently proves the point that the man bringing the roids issues up is a straight up hater, nothing has been proven and nothing ever will be proven.

Holyfield is all heart. That get's you killed against Louis. He would get drawn into a fight and ruined. Louis by horrible TKO.
