Mike Tyson got his ass beat...

And he is the one WHO NEEDS TO OWN UP, he is the one WHO NEEDS TO STOP CHATTING ****.

"He chatted non stop **** after the first fight, and showed that at that time in his career he had loss some class"

Mike Tyson took it to the street and rough house tatics, with the wrong guy..

    Yes..Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield.

Evander tucks his head whenhe comes in nothing wrong with that, they are head CLASHES hes not going over and butting the guy full force inthe nose for christs sake, Evander NEVER complains like when he was cut bad form a michael moorer headbutt he laughs it off as part of the game

Does anyone remember tyson bruno 2 tyson full n elbow smashed the guy in the face then KOs him,

Tyson fans claiming butts are pathetic iMO hes supposed to be the baddest man, not to mention tyosn eye was open alreay from a sparring incident before the fite.

Doylexx I was going to point that out, any skilled fighter who has fought as long as Evander has which was his entire life, knows that on the inside if your going to mix it up there, you tuck your head, basicly you put your head in the apponents shoulder this way your a bit safer, its harder to hit you in that spot, the only shots you have to really worry about there are uppercuts and follow up hooks...

I am sorry but the heads clashing in the sport I have never once seen Holyfield do it with intent to have or gain an advantage in a fight... not once...

Nobody has ever painted Holyfield as a saint.....but for people to point that headbutts or any other illegal tactic was the reason for Holyfield to win and Tyson to lose, is completely outrageous.
.......Mike Tyson deep inside always knew this....which is the reason that he's come clean and offered what he did on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

"I was pissed that he was such a great fighter!"

.....Tyson also said something very poignant about his initial matchup with Holyfield.....he said something to the effect that he "knew of Holyfield's great qualities as a fighter, and at the time Holyfield was'nt getting the credit he deserved, I wanted very badly to beat him.
In my mind, I knew that to beat him, I'd be slaying a giant."

......not word for word what Tyson said, but pretty close.
Alot of Tyson apologist over the years have alluded to Tyson not taking Holyfield seriously in thier first matchup....but what Tyson said here says alot to what Mike Tyson knew of Evander Holyfield, and that he'd have to be at his best to beat him.

"I wanted desperately to beat him. In my mind I knew that to beat him, I'd be slaying a Giant."

......thats was Tyson's mindset fighting Holyfield, and thats the Tyson, Holyfield twice came out victorious against.

I've been saying this for about 10 years here on ESB.......

Tyson's problems against Holyfield stem from the fact that Tyson was never a great infighter to begin with.
Tyson was much like Manny Pacquiao is now....he does most of his damage going to his opponent, but once he gets in a position where he's shoulder ot shoulder with a fighter, he prefers the clinch, have the referee seperate them, and start over again coming back in....

Most fighters Tyson fought who got into a clinch with him, wanted to stay in tha clinch......not Holyfield.....
Holyfield was a willing participant to break out of that clinch and dig a close quarters.
Holyfield was a fighter that was a master at the nuances it took to get the better of someone fighting on the inside.

You're absolutely correct Bazooka, a good infighter rests his head on an opponents chest or shoulder.....in Holyfield case against Tyson since he was the taller fighter, was to rest his head on Tyson's shoulder and to walk him down, Tyson going backward so that Tyson did'nt have the devestating punching leverage going foward.

.....both fighters wanted to come foward, but Holyfield was physically stronger, so he was the one pushing Tyson back in the clinches.
.....and if you're the fighter pushing the other back, more than likely you're the one thats going to have the better position to which to punch.

.....the headbutts happened because both fighters wanted to be the one pushing foward.

It's true that Holyfield fights dirty with the head, but Tyson butted and elbowed like a mother****er too! Butted the crap out of Pinklon Thomas in May 1987. Fought dirty as hell against Razor Ruddock. Like most of the great fighters, both guys used plenty of foul tricks.

The bite though was way beyond the acceptable limits. No excuses.

Tyson still doesn't admit to raping Desiree Washington. Was she headbutting him too?
