DOES ANYONE REMEMBER THAT NIGHTMARE 3RD FOR HOLYFIELD WHEN HE WAS TAGGED BY A GREAT SHOT BY COOPER. HOLY WAS OUT ON HIS FEET, I REMEMBER IT WELL AND COULD NOT BELIEVE IT.
SHOWS WHAT A GREAT FIGHTER HE WAS TO COME BACK FROM THAT:thumbsup

I remember that very vivid. I was rooting for Cooper so that he could have a great payday for a rematch. Cooper had talent, but I believe they did not move him right. I believe Frazier was training him for a while. He had a great hook.

yeah he trained with frazier. that's why he was known also as Smokin Bert Cooper. He took almost too good a beating. He kept getting through in with amazing fighters (foreman, holyfield, moorer) who knew he was just a notch below them. if he had been pushed right, against the right opponents he could've got somewhere

Just re-watched Holyfield vs Cooper last week. I actually forgot how hard Cooper punched. That guy could crack.
