As much crap as he's earned for not fighting a Klitschko by now, look at his first 24 fights. He jumped in with tough competition very quickly and admirably up to that point for his young career.
Any normal fighter moving up the rankings would want to fight better competition in order to climb the ladder of rankings, I think he has been fortunate to get so many good fights that quickly.
You don't pay attention to a lot of modern fighters or do you just ignore how softly so many of these guys are matched up on their road to a title fight? I mean, really. Do you not see young, title-free guys this day and age flat out turn down big fights for titles with big names for a myriad of supposed reasons? Povetkin/Wladimir, Angulo/Martinez, etc, etc, etc. If you don't want to give Haye credit for the fights he took early, I could care less. I certainly do though. It is not the norm. Not for this era.
well then, wlad and angulo arent normal. And yes your right about how todays fighters are softly matched up on a road to a title fight. But im talking in general, Boxing should be fighters fighting each other like i said earlier, and it should be normal that fighters happen too "fight" Hayes record isnt exactly "impressive" either, its good dont get me wrong but it doesnt get my full attention. I dont know any of the fighters he fought until carl thompson (respect for fighting him). Then like...Glen Kelly whos decent, and Hurov,Johansen, Abdoul have decent records (nothing impressive though) fragomeni was a very tough fight i saw that live, and then he became champ against mormeck. The CW was just a bit dry when Haye was coming up, so him taking all those fights aint nothing special
