I think these two could have an interesting series of fights, with both getting a win.
It's a real shame that Usyk wasn't around in Holyfield prime.
But I'll say this, there's no way thet Usyk remains Unbeaten if he was around in the 90 s .

Holyfield fought on until he was like 50. That seems forgotten when his career is discussed. Between that and the fact the only matchmaking he ever employed was “make the match”, his record doesn’t really reflect how good he actually was.

as to Bowe, which absolutely a prime loss, yeah, I don’t see Usyk losing that one either.

I think Usyk could probably outbox Holyfield and win on the cards. That said, there are things Holyfield could certainly try — he’d be willing to walk through Usyk’s left to land a right, without any hesitation. Maybe he could eventually break Usyk down over time?

would be a good match. I do think Usyk probably takes it, but can’t ever write off Holyfield.

Yup, Holyfield wins two out of three for me. His workrate, his chin and his consistently hard handed combinations work for him. To use Usyks own terminology, he'd not leave Usyk alone. I genuinely don't think Usyk has fought anyone who would push him at the relentless pace Holyfield would, or invest in the body with such vicious regularity. I think Holyfield wins the first fight clearly, Usyk downloads the info and wins a controversial decision the second time, fighting the fight of his life, and Holyfield stops him late in the third fight.

The Holyfield who stopped Dokes and Douglas would stop Usyk in 11. That Holy was probably already an ATG, though he still had over half a dozen key fights over the course of many more years to come. He was so hungry when he fought Dokes, and I think he was the best heavyweight in the world when he flattened Douglas.

Any time after Bowe Holy loses by a close enough decision to warrant a rematch, where Holy would more firmly lose.

Avoiding an exchange would be the smart thing in Uysk’s case, yes. Though i don’t think he can actually keep Holyfield away from him.

Me neither, Holy would bring it to him and Usyk cannot get in a fight with Evander

Usyk takes this one. Holyfield had tough fights even in his prime, Moorer beat him, and an old Holmes gave him trouble. Holyfield needed to get in close and brawl, but Usyk's jab and footwork are too good for that. He'd keep Holyfield at a distance.

Plus, Usyk's a smart southpaw. He'd control the fight and not let Holyfield turn it into a dogfight. Holyfield was tough, sure, but Usyk's speed and defense would be too much.

Bottom line: Holyfield beat guys who were either past it or completely different from Usyk. Usyk's skills and ring smarts would be the difference.

96 Tyson was still more dangerous and mentally stable than Fury and AJ

Honestly I do not see Usyk standing a chance against the 88 cruiserweight version of Holyfield.Usyk was a very good smart fighter but he ain’t quite on that level

Not even a chance ? Usyk is being underestimated in the classic, he is objectively amongst the most skilled heavyweights ever and has an iron chin. It cannot be denied i know what I am seeing

Holyfield, rugged inside game. Short, chopping. And the body work.
