Holyfield vs Haye in March???

I guess he's just the type of person who only knows how to do 1 job and nothing else. I'm scared to see where he's going to end up 10 years from now.

 

Then a Valuev rematch. Then a Ruiz rematch. Etc etc.

It doesn't take a crystal ball to see that this is exactly what will happen. And after all of these fights we will see that Vitali and Wlad have long retired before Haye has finished his mandatory obligations. atsch

Haye is probably salivating at the thought of fighting Holyfield. A huge name with zero risk. Who cares that he should be embarrassed to even consider such a fight? Since when does Haye care about his credibility? Why should he, when his fans refuse to hold him accountable?

 

Zero evidence so far that he would actually consider it....

i can't believe holyfield is even entertaining the thought of fighting haye. holyfield has nothing to prove and despite the asterix's on his record (steroids/headbutting) he is a hall of famer in waiting. he should just retire, because if by some way this travesty was actually made he would be seriously hurt.

Least of all Haye. Thats why the fight would never happen. Holyfields he's hero. Holyfields also thought very highly of in the UK.

 

For once, I agree with most of what you wrote. It's understandable why Holyfield is so delusional and thinks he can still become the 'champ' (meaning 'win a major belt') - the man just beat one of the 'champs' (the WBA-beltholder) in his last fight. Not because Holy turned back time and looked good, no, far from it, it's because Valuev is that bad. It's all Valuevs fault, and actually he's even worse than Ruiz was. And yes, Valuev should've lost to Donald, Ruiz and Holyfield, and he should be nowhere near the top.

To the people saying that Valuev didn't want to hurt Holyfield out of respect, I can only say that IF that was the case (I don't believe it), he (Valuev) shouldn't have stepped into the ring in the first place. I just wish Holyfield had got the nod (it WAS a close fight, yes, but Holyfield deserved the win as he was not quite as awful as Valuev), he'd have got the WBA strap, retire as a 5-time HW 'champ', and everybody would've been happy.

Now David Haye is a fighter I really dislike, but I'll still root for him against Valuev, for the sake of the division and so we can get rid of that circus act Valuev

 

very cynical but this probably did play a part in his thinking when he backed out of klitchko fights. why not play it safe and go after the easiest belt (valuev) and you will at least be forced to take mandotaries with probably 2 of these three: ruiz (who's in and out of court trying to force a titel fight and has a "claim" as mandatory challenger), holyfield (who was allegedly and probably robbed in valuev fight), and chagaev (who probably still holds some type of 'super' belt for the orgainizatoin). This willl provide some good money in Haye and his handlers pockets and with a couple of wins (against the aforementioned relatively soft comp) it will make Haye vs any Klit a mega fight. So when he loses to a Klit he will already have set himself up. Smart move by the homo

 

He doesnt need the UK he can go where he fought Valuev and the brits will follow Haye.

 

There you have it. Thats exactly how it is with us and our sports. We like to travel and we do it in numbers. I think its called loyalty and some form of tribalism.
And don't be thinking that this will continue if Haye does go down the easy defences route. It won't. If he batters Valuev as expected then its 1 mandatory then unification fights.
Boxing is nowhere near as lucrative in the UK as it has been. Haye will not make any worthwhile money defending against bums in England. The audience just isn't there.

 

I know Holyfield needs the money but comon they should not let him fight any more, the guy can't hardly talk and when hays hits him who knows what could happen.....:nut

 

The evidence is in his avoidance of hard fights to take on easy ones. The evidence is in his choice of taking no risk fights where he can still make money rather than real risk fights.

Sure, there is plenty of evidence. If you think there is evidence that he wont fight Holyfield, then that is something you would also take into consideration. If Haye has come out and said that he would never fight Holyfield, then sure, it is worth adding into the equation. But you would have to remember that Haye is full of **** and what he says can't be relied on. After all, he said he wanted to fight the Klits too, right?

Of course Haye fans will never hold him accountable - which is exactly why he can fight Holyfield and his fans will think he is some sort of hero when he becomes the person to finally damage Evander so much that he never recovers.
