Yeah, but he was way faster
Prime Holyfield with toe to toe with Bowe he'll handle that version of Lewis's. Besides Lewis was faster but didn't have near as good of a jab, wasn't as good of an infighter, and wasn't as strong. Prime Lewis is better than that Lewis in every aspect accept speed. Possibly power but thats debatable.
If they had a series around that time, I pick Lewis to win most bouts, 2 out of 3 kind of deal.
It's quite possible Holyfield might handle him, but at the same time he may KOd like Bruno and Ruddock.
LOL, so cannon fodder Bruno outboxes Lewis until he ran out of gas/got stunned.................similar timeframe Lewis got one shotted by a genuine Crack head.....
In 93 Lewis was pawing with the jab.....had a telegraphed right you could see a mile away......had no uppercut or serious inside game and stuck his chin out to dry........on a good note he did not know yet that his chin is subpar so he had a little more confidence then in going to war.
Holyfield will outhustle him in a ugly fight to a clear UD.
For all the fools who claim Lewis by KO I have some ocean front property in Arizona for sale........in their actual encounter years later he never ever came close to stopping a washed up Holyfield who was waxed by a fat Bowe face down and out............and was so far beyond his expiration date that right after Lewis a bum like Johnny Ruiz manhandled him three times.....
Holyfield had a solid chin and better head movment than Ruddock, he would have been too much for pre Steward Lewis tbh
Agree. Lewis controlled the 2 fights with Holyfield in the late 90's because of the ATG jab he had developed under Manny Steward but the 1993 Lennox who while still a formidable opponent was still raw as others have said and easier to hit.
This would be close with Lewis dominating the early rounds with his size and power before Holyfield adjusts and LL begins to slow gradually outhustling Lewis in hard fought, close rounds en route to a tight UD win.
