    Nice thread...man those were the good days...i wanted this fight so bad in 2001...tyson had picked up some form...in 2000...while holyfield after the lewis fight was starting to slide from his 1996 rejuvenation....so i felt it would be the best of the trilogy if it took place...and felt Tyson would win in 2001

    I'm going to go with Holyfield by a stoppage in the mid rounds. Mostly because Tyson was really losing interest at that point.

    Between 96-01 Holyfield was training hard constantly while Tyson was an addict who trained sporadically. I'll go with the clean living boxer here

    Evander had Tyson's number; whatever steps he may have lost physically, he had a psychological edge that couldn't be overcome. Every great fighter has that one guy that just gives him fits - Holyfield had that indefinable something that got in Tyson's wheelhouse and pretty much decided it before they even touched gloves
