Everyone knows that before biting Holyfield Tyson got a ferocious headbutt for him that destroyed his right eyebrow. Let me play the Devil: what if instead Tyson had done well to bite him as the only solution to protect a bad eye that he knew could make him lose the fight? What would you have done in his place? Would you have returned a headbutt? If Tyson hadn't bitten Holyfield's ear, would he have risked an injury like Rahman's besides the cut on the right eye? This content is protected
Give it up. He called himself the baddest man on the planet, not the biggest ***** on the planet. Tyson was a classic bully. Hated pain or rough stuff. Your hero was a crying *****. Face it. You ****ed up. You trusted him.
No he is a professional prize fighter who in pugilistic tradition asks no quarter and gives none. You have warriors in life who battle through everything without complaining and you have Nancyfancyboys like Tyson and his fans who talk tough but fold tents at 1st sign of trouble. Get a new hero.
I think those headbutts were a result of the brutal and fierce exchanges Holyfield usually had with a fighter in a "phone booth" fight. Bowe complained about those headbutts when he was talking with Holyfield. Can find it on YouTube in the true school sport channel. Lewis said Holyfield "Punched with his head too much" in his best i faced article. Holyfield always believed it was just an excuse made up by Tyson out of thin air to cover the fact Mike simply quit because he was going to get knocked out again. Tyson always believed the Holyfield's heabutt were no accident, it was just a strategy.
Even the announcers commented how similar the second fight was to the first. Holyfield was still smothering him, outmuscling him, even less afraid of him than before. It was obvious Mike was going to get beat again, he just found away to at least save some face by looking so vicious. I do believe the butts were unintentional, however Holy REALLY needed to be more careful and his negligence should have cost him at least a point in each fight.
