We disagree then, about the Fury fights. The first was very tough and competitive, though, but for me a clear win for Usyk round by round.
I think at the very best Fury won 6 rounds in the first fight but he still loses 114-113 in that scenario.
Don't know if could find more than 4-5 rounds for Fury. He had a great stretch rds 4-6, but not much apart from that imo. Think I had Usyk by 4 pts or something like that.
I gave him 5 rounds personally so 115-112. I was saying 6 would be the most giving Fury the benefit the doubt.
Yes, that was said in the very post you quoted. Did you read it? But at the time most thought that it was a one off and therefore had Fury as the (slight) favourite. But you bet big on Usyk since Fury was so clearly shot, I suppose?
Of course talk of him being washed up is going to come after such a disgraceful performance, not to mention the Wilder trilogy. Fury was well past it, either that or he was always incredibly overrated
So you said before the fight that Usyk would without a doubt win because Fury was so past it? You must have since it was apparently so obvious.
I always gave Usyk a good chance, but Fury didn't beat any contenders after his life and death war with Wilder and was never the same after Klitschko. You're only as good as your last fight. He looked good against Usyk, not beforehand
Ok, so the answer to the question I've asked twice now is that you didn't have Usyk as a firm favourite on part of Fury being so shot. It is only after that you don't think the wins are worth much since Fury obviously was so shot. Thanks.
Putting words in my mouth because you don’t want to face the reality that Fury was well past it, went life and death with his best win years before he fought Usyk and the Ngannou fight only adds fuel to the fire. I actually DID favor Usyk in the first fight, here's a post back in 2021 At least you tried
So, for the last time, obviously you said nothing before the fight that Fury would lose to Usyk because he was washed up. That the wins aren't worth much since Fury was so past it was only something that came after.
Usyk would beat any version of Fury, but my opinions aren't going to change the reality. Fury looked like crap against far inferior opposition in Wilder and then got beat up by an old mma fighter on their pro debut. These are the facts. Fury was nowhere near his prime in 2024 no matter how good you think he was. It's a close and shut case, but you mentioned him being washed up, not me. It's a good description though
Haters gotta hate.. The fact of the matter was Tyson Fury was the big favourite going into the Usyk fight. That tells you everything, and immediately makes desperate Usyk's haters claims VOID. They are always trying their hardest to discredit Usyk. Funnily enough though when you go back in their post history they usually are the same people who said Joshua and Fury were going to beat Usyk, and predicted Usyk to fail at heavyweight
