    I hope this isn´t true.

Sauerland is fighting with Austrian boxing commision. So it might be the case, that someone of them gave informations to the Austrian ORF broadcaster.

Hell if they fight Holyfield, they are criminals. That would be one of the biggest disgrace in history of HW-boxing.

Valuev and his team are cowards!!! He should fight Wladimir Klitschko and than game over for the Russian giant.

If it does go through, Holyfield is going to look forward to a long, painful night... Valuev will jab and arm-punch Holyfield all night but fail to knock him out, leading not only to a boring fight, but to a Holmes-Ali like affair.

But at least Holyfield can pay child support for two extra months now.

If Holyfield somehow pulled it off (highly unlikely) it would be boxing justice at its finest.

I personally would hate it for Holyfield if he did somehow win, because you know that means every fighter is going to come out of the woodworks wanting a shot at him seeing him as "easy meat", and someone's going to get it.

they are directly quoting holyfield in this article. he said that though it's the least money he ever got in a title fight, he feels honoured for the opportunity.

This rumour keeps coming up, and each time I hate it more.

For one thing, if it happens I will have absolutely zero respect for Valuev. It would be a pathetic, shallow grab at publicity that makes a mockery of the belt and the HW division in general. Rather than fighting the best in the division, those that have earned the right to compete for the belt, he'd rather face a battered old man with little left but his name and his stubborness.

For those rooting Holyfield on for the win and just one more title, imagining him riding off into the sunset...please, that's even more delusional than Holyfield. Another title fight alone gives him the motivation to carry on taking more beatings yet, if he actually won the thing then he'll go for the other belts and the only certainly in his future would finally be that career-ending thrashing against someone without the respect for who he was. Maybe this time finally one too many as well.

Statistics mean nothing when he's dribbling into a cup by his mid-fifties.
What are plaudits when you no longer have the sense to understand them?

    Really hate this one.

Evander is becoming the joke that isn't funny anymore. He's like Rocky only this isn't the movies and fighters can get killed. He's already talking with that Hearns, Meldrick Taylor studder. How can the comissions give him the OK is a disgrace to boxing and a danger to Holyfield, who's done everything a boxer can do except get killed in the ring. I pray that doesn't happen.

if there is any of the champions Holyfield is likely to beat this is the guy, if Holyfield can stay small and sit inside the pocket he might be able to win, I didnt see him get dominated by Ibragimov, that was a close fight alot of close rounds honestly it was like sparring IMO, neither guy really stepped in to force a fight both were happy sparring.
which is why I scored the fight as close as I did, I had it 115-113 for Ibragimov. that doesnt mean Evander has plenty of juice left that just means Ibragimov didnt want to risk a Holyfield ressurection happening to him in Russia, if Valuev doesnt pick up a decent jab and use it to keep Holyfield outside, Evander might be able to do it, the party is inside, and Holyfield has a good chance to atleast make the party interesting.

With a stationary target Holyfield could do some work. Remember Rahman? Toney, Donald, and Ibragimov are anything but stationary. It would be Christmas, New Year's and the Fourth of July all rolled into one to see Holyfield win. I must sound as delusional as Evander these days.
