Live and death with Bert Cooper.....two tries against ham and egger Stewart.....24 rounds with ancient Holmes and Foreman...10 against non entity trial horse Mercer.....1-2 against Bowe.....0-.1-1 against Lemmie......1-1 against glass cannon Moorer............1-1-1 against Huggybear .........guess how many he stopped out of the above........late sub crack addict Cooper, glass chinned Moorer......Stewart was a cut.

But but but he stopped the big super bad Killer of all Killers washed up Mike Tyson impersonator who spend his prime years in the can.......on one end he is a total bum but when it come to Holy /Lemmie he is a major career enhancer, the stuff of legends, against all odds they beat the Dragon of all dragons in Tyson......

Before he steps into the Ring Wilder looses every fight.............but he keeps on winning and icing opponents...........Holyfield struggled to put together a string of victories in a row even against scrubs.............Holyfields record against Big man who can punch and have a jab is poor.....and Wilder is the definition of the best puncher in the last few decades and has a excellent jab if he elects to use it.

It is going to be a similar outcome like Stiveren 1 , Wilder keeps his range with the jab, does not brawl and Holyfield is out of luck without a brawl plus is way wary of the right hand, its not like Holyfield is a defense wizzard, never was , never will be.................afterwards Holy will get a faith healer to cure him of loosing, Don Turner will teach him Marcianos tricks, sits down with Lee haney for a better PED cycle, fathers 17 more children with 17 different woman and registers his head as a lethal weapon.

Holyfield was levels better than Wilder who is basically an amateur with a big punch. Prime Holyfield
could beat Wilder anyway he chooses. From long distance or in close. Leading or counter punching.
fight wouldn't get beyond 5-6 rds at the most.

    100% that :
    1) after having taken one, two, three, four, illimitate right hands from Wilder (given that I strongly doubt the Bronze could land more than 4 or 5 powerful straights in a bout in which he would be continuously pressed by a master of boxing like Evander) Holy would always get up if he went down ( I also doubt he would go down because Holys chin is as formidable as McCalls one).
    2) Holy would win for KO after one of his epic brawls. At what round I dont know (in fact I asked this to you with the thread).

0% Holy would lose or would win for decision.

Holyfield would destroy Wilder imo. Stop

I keep seeing Evander getting nailed by a 42 year old Foreman, if George could have followed up Holyfield takes a nap. If Bert Cooper could rock Evander also , Wilder could too. The consensus is probably right since Evander is the better overall fighter, but I would bet on Wilder if I'm getting good odds.

Then you would be betting against Holyfield's chin.

    No thanks mate!

Come on man... You are talking about a 4 times almost 5 (Valuev lost!) champion :nonono
Wilder never faced one among Bowe, Tyson, Lewis or Mercer. And then...let's call it with the story of PEDs ..assuming its true: every top fighter who earns millions has dirty laundry..some more, some less...do you really think they only eat spinaches like Popeye?

Evander Holyfield proved he is not afraid of these bully intimidating fighters, which saps their invincibility from them. Deontay Wilder is a intimidating type of fighter, especially when he goes off spouting his threats. Holyfield was not scared of Tyson, prior to out muscling him and taking his WBA World Heavyweight Title in 1996. Wilder could not hurt Evander, who goes on to take a unanimous decision. Holyfield would rattle Wilder with his combination punching, Holyfield would set a pace that Deontay would not be able to keep up with.

Though I count myself a fan of Deontay, I can't see him beating any of those guys...except maybe Mercer. I don't know, Mercer was no joke against punchers.

No matter what anyone says, Tyson was still beating (big time) world class competition during that period of time. He was a fully legitimate champ imo.

Wilder would go to UD and lose (of course) if he had the chin of McCall or Foreman or Mercer imo and I honestly dont think his chin is so good to resist all brawls of Holyfield.

I probably need schooling here, but do we really know just how sturdy Wilder's chin is?

Everybody here probably needs schooling about Wilders jaw because he never faced a real puncher so far. But one thing is certain: he was to go down in Ortiz 1 (saved by the bell and the doctor) and Holyfield is much, much tougher than the cuban. Lets not forget Holy was able to throw combos of 10, 15 even 20 punches (see vs Foreman: round 7) during one of his attacks.

How true, but I do think that Holyfield would win, he took Iron Mike Tyson's blows, beat him twice, but again you are probably right about Deontay's chin.

Yes and no. Imo, it's one of those cases where we have the results before the test.

Wilder has been visible shaken by Eric Molina, Dominic Breazeale, and obviously shaken to his boots by Luis Ortiz.
He has also been dropped by Harold Sconiers.

None of these are top punchers by any means imo. Especially Molina and Sconiers. Now despite these bad warnings and Wilder having yet to fight a real hard puncher, I have my doubts about his durability.
But there's also a chance he has a good chin and we haven't been shown it yet. So as I said, jury's still out.

There are (disputed) rumours about him being KOd cold by Wladimir Klitschko in sparring and sent home before he could do permanent damage. I will add I don't particularly believe this as #1, Wilder himself addressed it and I don't believe he is an all out liar, and #2, there were also stories of him dropping Wilder with a body shot. Can you tell me the last time Wlad threw a body shot?

Agree. I too had noticed Wilder felt those few punches Breazeale was able to throw before to be knocked out. He swerved for a moment
