Holyfield will put on a better showing than most of us expected. Valuev is overrated. He is stationary target as he does not move his head or feets. That style suits Holy pretty well. Also, I do not think the Klitschkos would KO him. Too much experience.
Problem is, experience doesn't count for much when you can't react in time to avoid punches, can't move your legs to get out of trouble the way you used to. You know what to do, but you can't quite do it.
Holyfield is exactly the type of guy you read about from time to time...some punchy old pug with not a cent to his name and cleaning toilets. That's Holy in 20 years. And he has himself to blame for that.
If Holyfield hasn't deteriorated too much since last year he might have a small chance, cause he's still dangerous against slow stationary opponents. Still, I guess that Evander will have a hard time to get past Valuevs jab, he's not fast enough anymore to close the distance and get on the inside, where he is comfortable and superior to Valuev. I agree that Valuev is overrated, but his reach advantage will be determing IMO as he keeps Oldiefield at the end of his jab for most of the 12 rds in a boring fight.
If Holyfield had a higher punch output he would upset the slow and predictable Valuev. I hope the Real Deal puts is together for one last time. There is still the posiibility that Holy lands a lucky punch and follows up effectively on it.
