He was the next man to fight Golota after the Bowe fights as well. It's not some ATG win but the manner he took care of a man who had looked very good against (an obviously faded) Bowe was impressive.

In my humble opinion, Evander Holyfield is one of the most overrated Heavyweights of all-time :deal He wasn't near as good at Heavyweight as Wlad, and definitely not Lewis who is one of the top 5 greates Heavyweights of all time.

 

And lewis? He handled Holyfield like you handle bollox in your throat.

 

Well you have only ever taken the time to disparage him and never ever to build him up as a fan usually would...

You also haven't addressed my point about your very strange scoring of the Holy/Lewis fights. You really had the first fight closer than the second? You really are the only man on earth to see it that way. First fight was 10-2 or 11-1, second fight 9-3 or maaaaaaybe 8-4

 

And Holyfield lost John Ruiz, Michael Moorer and lost his career defining trilogy to Bowe, two fights to Lewis.

But most importantly, he lost to John Ruiz. In fairness to Holyfield, I disregard his losses later in his career, but he doesn't get a pass for this one. Or all his other losses at Heavyweight.

And another thing about Holyfield. He gets a pass for losing 2/3 against Bowe, because Bowe is regarded as a "great" heavyweight as well. But really, the only thing great that Bowe did was win 2/3 against Holyfield. So we have a spin cycle going on here, that leads me to believe that neither one of them was great at Hvyweight.

He was a GREAT cruiserweight, and a very good heavyweight that lost way too many fights for the ranking he gets at that weight from some people. :deal

 

So what was Holyfield's "prime" at Heavyweight?

When he beat Buster Douglas, Old Foreman and Old Holmes?
When he dropped 2 fights to Bowe and one to Moorer?
When he beat old post-prison Tyson twice, but then lost to Lewis twice?

 

Lewis got caught by them, not denying that, but then Lewis rematched both of them and stopped both. Then went on to absolutely dominate the division and destroy everyone.
