As a young heavyweight, Holyfield has skinny legs ( and was criticized for it ) , a small chest, biceps, you name it. Most felt he was too small for Tyson. Judge for yourself. I believe the below photo on the left was taken when Holyfield was a cruiser weight. The date of the photo on the right is anyone guess, could be Holyfield's fight with Mike Tyson. Holyfield did a Barry Bonds like transformation. Look at the difference in Neck, shoulders traps, chest, arms, wrist... I never saw one quite like this in boxing. Ha, ha, ha. The first one wasn't taken in 1990. It's most likely a fake. Just look at this clip. He is way more muscled than he was in that picture: This content is protected
The first pictured is probably a fake. Just look at Holy even in his early CW days - Qawi 1. He's way more muscled than in that picture: This content is protected
This is Holyfield against Buster Douglas, not the one in the OP. That was from his days at cruiser, possibly 1986-87 when he only hold the WBA belt in the pic. https://images.app.goo.gl/rtpWxkuvVuMcFfhKA
I don't really like threads base on a fake photo, but, yeah, Holy in all likelihood used PEDs to put on muscle. The transformation wasn't nearly as dramatic as the TS suggests, though.
Even at CW he was much more muscled. Here he is against Qawi: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dwight-Muhammad-Qawi-Throws-A-Punch-v-Evander-Holyfield-OLD-BOXING-PHOTO-2-/392824146994 The picture that Mendoza posted is likely a fake.
People still can't understand how much of a difference can flexing make. Most athletes look muscular when they flex.
