A great fighter who has been in it forever. Now entering his 4th decade of fighting and still relevant fighting Botha and looking for a 5th belt.

So what is his best decade. To me it goes in order 80's to 90's to 00's.

80's very destructive KO'd Tillman Parkey to Unify Occassio Qawi D Leon and tough hwts like Tillis Thomas stewart and Dokes also a points victory over Qawi

90's is probably where he got his hall of fame resume- Buster Foreman Holmes Bowe Moorer Tyson two times after many said he would die in the ring and was passed it and champs mercer and cyz
detractors to the 90's lost the series to Bowe lost to Moorer and drew "lost" and lost to Lennox

00's wins his 4th title over Ruiz but two fights later finds himself beltless he beat Rahman which was nice but then lost 3 times in a row and one was to Donald and an embarassment to toney by TKO in a weight where Toney has no power he had his liscense revoked. then a comeback with 4 fights only 1 good win over oquendo he got thoroughly out boxed by Iggy. Then lost to Valuev.

I say the 80's. I hope he does well in his effort to continue boxing and hope he hangs them up at the right time with dignity if he should have already.

Imagine if a decade spanned from 84 to 93

80s undisputed champ and probbaly the best CW ever.

The 90's have a solid claim too though.

in the 90s Holyfield avenged losses to Moorer and Bowe, and beat Tyson twice

  5. Good question, I'd vote all for each differant reasons but went with 90's because of above points. He was the real deal in the 90's win or lose.

90s by far. Avenged losses from Bowe and Moorer, Beat Tyson's one time conqueror, and beat Tyson twice. In order I rather see his fights from 90s, 80s then 00s(probably only Valeuv God should've forbid a Ruiz trilogy).

10s : became hw champion for the fifth time (and so set an unprecedented record). Unified the major belts and retired on top.

Somehow i think that's what Evander would answer today (or after the Botha fight in February).
