Holyfield's one punch KO of Douglas was every bit as impressive as Marciano's over W

False... marciano was behind in that fight, taking punishment, and fighting a very game champion..

Holyfield was fighting a fat, unmotivated, and very slow champion in Douglas... And Holyfield was ahead on points.

Holyfields KO was more impressive.

 

Well, Marciano and Walcott were similar size.

Holyfield was outweighed by 38 pounds against Douglas, a man who was 235 while in great shape.

Ex-190 pounder knocking out a lineal Super Heavyweight...

Holy's KO was a very well executed (douglas could have gotten up i think). Rockys was excellent

 

I think Marciano-Walcott was better. Walcott was really out cold.

Holyfield's win over Douglas is horribly underrated though.

Holyfield's punch was setup perfect from a technical error Douglas made often leading with an uppercut which left him wide open. Holyfield was smart enough to look for this and use his feint to get Douglas to commit to that shot and then he countered off of it, but Douglas could have, and should have gotten up, he wasnt hurt at all. He quit, just like he did against Tucker. Impressive on Holy's part, yes, but not the same.

 

Holyfield was a machine honed in on destroying the lazy Buster. One sided affair, who wouldn't expect Holy to get the KO?

Marciano was down on the cards and scored his signature punch to win it against a crafty vet.

The weight of importance rests on the shoulders of the Marciano-KO-Walcott from behind moment. Not the moment where the fat lazy fighter gets crushed with a great KO.

 

But resulting in making himself look played ... again ...:roll: ... I own this guy and I don't even try ... I make a point and he rushes to make comebacks and I forget I even made the posts .. it's funny that I'm so in his head. My hand to G-d I completely forget about this guy until I simply come across a post I disagree with or another of his first launch attacks ... I like the kid though, he's got a ton of heart and balls and he keeps it spicy .. now his ***** Princess on the other hand is a twat !

 

Holyfield won the title by flattening a much larger super heavyweight who was in his physical prime and who was coming off the biggest fight of his career early in the fight when Douglas was fresh.

Marciano , in his own physical prime, flattens a 38 year old cruiserweight in the late rounds ...

My point was that Evander's KO was every bit as impressive a feat. I stand by that ..
