I’ve been slowly kitting my garage out for a home gym. I’ve only just realised how bloody expensive gym floor tiles are I’m looking north of £500 for flooring which makes me weep. Just curious what others have done for theirs? its currently a constantly dusty concrete floor, paint is last option would prefer something easier on the joints
Not sure about concrete but I got a couple very thick and wide yoga mat for tile flooring that was discounted at an off price retailer and it worked pretty well for my knees, but yeah I agree with u the mats online are very overpriced
I donated about 50 one meter sq horse stable heavy duty mats to our local boys club that i ' acquired ' one night in work and they are brilliant apparently as they offer just the right resistance, they're not cheap cheap though ( about £ 90 a pop ).but the beauty of these is you can buy them over a period of time ie maybe one a month or so you can start then add .
I’ll second the suggestion for horse stall mats, but will warn of a con of them: the fibrous material they’re made of will come apart and you’ll have little particles around and on the floor. If you’re up for something a bit more expensive, tatami mats are fantastic.
