We should do our own super six at Middleweight

    Matthew Macklin 24(17)-2
    Wayne Elcock 19 (9)-4
    Craig Mc Ewan 16 (9)-0
    Andy Lee 18 (13)-1
    Darren Barker 20 (13)-0
    John Duddy 26 (17)-1

Some mouth watering matches to be made there.I think i would have to go for Macklin to win it out...

I wouldn't be too shocked if Duddy lost all fights he participated in if he was in with guys like that.

    Tidy avatar btw Rebel :good

What about Barker... Lee has been in their with better opposition than him.

I can't believe how people under rate Lee and Duddy, (yeah I know Duddy lost to Lyell but he is not done just yet).
They can both punch and have good chins - especially Duddy. I'm not even a huge fan of Duddy but I wouldn't bet against him if he fought Macklin (who I think has a dodgy beard - look at the Ajetovic fight for proof), McEwan or Barker.
Lee would outbox or possibly stop Macklin, McEwan and Barker.
Macklin is being over rated based on his win over Elcock.
Lee to win if this happened, not that it ever will.
    Just my 2 cents.

Yeah ill agree on Duddy who needs to stop being put in with anyone to pack out an arena. Lee was building towards something until that last fight which was on a K2 promotions card there undercards are usually terrible.

Both could do with coming back to ireland and letting Peters build them up but i think he lost RTE's backing besides Dunne fights

sorry mate but i have to disagree with you on Lee

hes been in with brawlers his last 2 fights....

why do you think that is????

its obvious to me they want him to learn how to deal with that but maybe you've got other ideas on the reasoning behind it?

Yeah it does seem like Stewards plan to get Lee used to fighting brawlers after his loss to Brian Vera. All fighters on that list (Macklin, Barker, Duddy, etc) would have a hard time against Lee's last two opponents.

macklin or barker have this in the bag, im nearing barker just.

lee and duddy are well overated, i watched both there last fights and both were close to losing to mediocre opponents, poor defence.

As overrated as Lee might be I think he would still beat both Macklin and Barker. I can't see how you see Barker beating Lee!

I'd take Elcock off the list after his showing against Macklin, who on current form has to be the favourite out of the list above.

If I was to put money on who will emerge as the best fighter dowen the road, I'd plump for Andy Lee, who as Paddy said hasn't looked good recently but has the potential and time on his side to turn things round.
