I know in other sports the "home town" advantage can be huge, an average team can become a very good team at home. Some times the home teams (usually in the finals stages of a comp) kinda freak out under the pressure. Will the home town advantage matter that much for this fight?

How do you think it will affect each fighter on fight night?

I'm more interested in seeing who the crowd seems to pull for, if either fighter has an advantage either way on that front.

No, there will be no home town advantage.

Filipinos will come out in droves and make a lot of noise and many Americans will also be cheering for Pacquiao. Manny is the fan favorite, Floyd is the villain - Pacquiao will have more crowd support.

The majority of people want Mayweather to lose.

    What makes you think that?

In terms of fans support, imo wherever this fight be held, PAC will always get the majority of fans support, rooting for PAC to win... even in Las Vegas which is Floyd's place of residence.

if it goes the distance, neutral people will eventually pull for pac i think because of his fighting style.

No, the question was geared towards the mental status of each fighters on fight night.

Im wondering this too, with not many public tickets whose gonna have the bigger crowd. I know Floyds the favorite so how much support will he be getting from his fans and/or will MGM feel like more his home on fight night.

Floyd plays the villain; Pacquiao is seen as the golden child all over the globe.

A lot of people detest Floyd and only tune in to his fights in the hope of seeing him lose.

Pacquiao is easily the most popular boxer since Sugar Ray Leonard.

Also, American fans in general aren't very vocal; Mexican fans always drown them out and you can bet the Filipinos will be raucous come fight night so it will definitely sound like Manny has more fans regardless.

The atmosphere in MGM will be awful ! No real fans there, just media, high rollers and celebs

If the crowd is behind pacquiao being the underdog, how about the other aspects going into the fight. Floyd being the A side has all his demands catered for(ring size, judges etc). Pac seems to be ok with all that, but his team?

DLH seem to think its going to be an uphill battle already.

What you guys think? is that gonna matter come fight night?

Most of the celebrities who will be attendance are only going to see and be seen due to the hype.

But Diddy and Mark Wahlberg have bet each other 250k - Diddy picked Floyd, Mark is riding with Manny.
